Yes, I like reading colophons too

I built this site with Kirby, a file-based content management system I’ve used for many years. It’s simple and enjoyable to work with, and I’m happy to support Bastian and the team, who have devoted more than 10 years to the project.

The body text, Items Text, is paired with Phonic for UI elements; both typefaces are from Schick-Toikka. They're a two-person type foundry with a studio in the neighborhood. Items Text is clean, easy to read and pairs beautifully with Phonic. Best of all, I get to support my neighbors.

For the headlines, I used Astloch by Bijou Type because I wanted something playful that would give the site a bit of character. My inspiration was Erin Kissane's website wreckage/salvage.

The site is hosted on Fortrabbit, a small independent company based in Berlin that offers simple and easy-to-use services. I work with them for both my personal websites and web applications.
